This project features a curated series of my traditional black and white pencil illustrations. Developed over an extended period of time, each drawing reflects the evolution of my personal style and technique while focusing on the unique character of different faces.

Challenge

My main challenge was capturing the subtle nuances of realism and emotion purely through pencil work. Over the years, I had to constantly refine my shading techniques, master deep contrasts, and learn how to accurately render complex textures like skin and hair without relying on any color.

Solution

I focused on precise graphite layering, using different pencil grades and high-contrast shading to give each portrait a lifelike depth. By collecting these pieces over a longer period, the final series highlights my dedication to traditional craftsmanship and the emotional weight of monochromatic art.
